Highway guardrails are cold roll formed steel products used as the protective barrier for both roads and expressways. There are mainly 2 types of guardrails: W profile/2 wave guardrail and thrie-beam/3 wave guardrail. Due to the different standards of each country. there are some difference between the guardrail designs. This W profile & Thrie-beam higway guardrail machine can produce 2 types of highway guardrail panels in one machine. And it is quick to change over one profile processing to another. Main material can be rolled are hot rolled steel coils and galvanised steel coils with 1.5-3.0mm thickness.

Machine Workflow: coil unwinding --> feeding & guiding --> levelling --> punching holes --> roll forming --> cutting to length --> final products collecting

Levelling Unit & Punching Unit

This highway guardrail production line adopts integrated design of levelling unit and punching unit. The levelling unit ensures the good flatness of the sheet before punching and roll forming. The punching unit punched holes based on the profile drawing. This kind of design is an economic one, we also have high speed and high productivity design.

1. Levelling Roller: up layer 3 rollers, under layer 4 rollers

2. Material of levelling roller: 40Cr, HRC 48-52°, 80mm in diameter

3. Levelling power: 5.5kw

4. Punching type: hydraulic punching; pre-punching

5. Hydraulic power: 22kw

6. Punching mold: Cr12Mov, HRC58-62°

 

 

Main Roll Forming Unit:

There are 2 sets of roll forming units for processing both 2-wave guardrails and 3-wave guardrails. The roller stands are bolted on the steel plate, which can be lifted as a whole to change over easily.

2. Shaft material: 80mm in diameter; 40Cr HB220-260

3. Roller material: GCr15, HRC58-62°

4. Power for roll forming: 22kw

5. Drive and transmission: electrically motor drive; gear box transmission
